Is Clear + Brilliant® Permea an IPL laser?

It is not an IPL (intense pulsed light). It is a mini Fraxel or fractional laser. It is a true innovation in laser technology, and you will see improvement in the texture, pigmentation, and a decrease in the number of spots on your skin. It will improve the appearance of the skin and diminish signs of aging and sun damage.

How does the laser work?

There may be redness for 4-6 hours afterward, but it can be covered by makeup or tinted sunscreen. It looks like a mild sunburn.

How many treatments of Clear + Brilliant® Permea will I need?

The number of laser treatments depends upon your skin condition, your goals, and what you are trying to accomplish. We usually suggest a series of 3 to 6 treatments. After each session, you will notice definite improvements and skin glow.

How closely can the treatments of Clear + Brilliant® Permea be spaced?

The sessions are usually spaced 2-4 weeks apart.

We recommend that you wear a broad spectrum of SPF 30 -50. Use a waterproof product if you are participating in outdoor sports. There are also hats and clothing made with UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) fabric that offers additional sun protection. These innovative textiles offer additional protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.

How should I care for my skin after the laser?

It is best to use gentle products that contain additional moisture. Ingredients such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides are beneficial.

Can I have Botox injections on the same day as the laser?

You can have the laser on the same day as the Botox injections but you should have the laser done before the injections.

Does the Permea laser stimulate collagen production?

This laser is a skin rejuvenation laser that stimulates collagen production and is anti-aging.

How long after a facelift can I do Permea laser?

It is best to wait three months after facelift surgery before using this laser.

What location on the body can I have this treatment?

The face, cheeks, chin, chest, back, neck and hands are frequent areas of the body treated with this laser technology. Any skin tone can be treated successfully by your dermatologist. Can this laser be done with Thermage skin tightening?

Is there special care after the laser?

Avoid using products containing harsh ingredients, as they can lead to skin irritation and inflammation. It is advisable to allow the skin to fully recover before continuing with your skincare routine. The outer layers of the skin have been compromised and require time to heal. Do not use acids, retinoids, or retinol.
