Can I have the Clear + Brilliant if I have cold sores?
It is necessary to take Valtrex (valacyclovir) pills by mouth before the procedure and after the procedure to prevent a recurrence of a herpes infection. The physician will send a prescription to your pharmacy before the procedure. You cannot have the laser with an active infection, as it will spread the infection.
