Combining Clear & Brilliant With Other Treatments

In the pursuit of a youthful complexion, many of my patients ask about combining multiple treatments to improve their results. One of the most effective and popular non-invasive options is Clear & Brilliant, a gentle fractional laser that rejuvenates the skin’s tone and texture. So what happens when you combine Clear & Brilliant with treatments like microneedling, injectables, or PRP therapy?

In this blog post, I’ll discuss how I combine Clear & Brilliant with other procedures, how I schedule them, and what results you can expect.

Why Combine Clear & Brilliant with Other Treatments?

Clear & Brilliant stimulates collagen production by creating microscopic treatment zones. When I combine it with other treatments, the effects are often faster, longer lasting, and more noticeable.

Benefits I often see:

  • Enhanced collagen production
  • Improved skin texture and tone
  • Increased absorption of skincare products
  • Results tailored to your specific concerns

Clear & Brilliant and Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that creates tiny punctures in the skin, stimulating natural collagen production and enhancing topical absorption. When I combine it with Clear & Brilliant, the two treatments work together to improve texture, fine lines, and acne scars.

I generally space these treatments two to four weeks apart to avoid over-irritating the skin, and I go over post-care instructions with every patient before starting a treatment plan.

Boosting Rejuvenation with PRP

Combining Clear & Brilliant with PRP therapy can enhance healing and skin regeneration. PRP, derived from your own blood, is rich in growth factors that improve elasticity, hydration, and tone.

Injectables and Clear & Brilliant

Injectable treatments like Botox and dermal fillers address volume loss and dynamic wrinkles, while Clear & Brilliant refines the skin’s surface. Botox softens expression lines like crow’s feet and frown lines, fillers restore volume in areas like the cheeks and nasolabial folds, and Clear & Brilliant evens out tone and texture. Together, they address aging from a few different angles.

Safe Practices for Combining Treatments

I always start with a consultation to assess your skin type and recommend a combination that fits your goals. Generally, I advise:

  • Avoiding sun exposure before and after treatment
  • Staying hydrated and using gentle skincare products
  • Following pre-treatment restrictions, including avoiding blood thinners
  • Avoiding retinoids and other acids during recovery

Choosing the Right Combination for Your Skin

Depending on your concerns, I might recommend:

  • Clear & Brilliant with chemical peels for uneven texture
  • Clear & Brilliant with Thermage or TempSure Envi for skin tightening
  • Clear & Brilliant with microneedling and PRP for acne scars and deeper rejuvenation

Clear & Brilliant and Exosomes

Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles that carry growth factors and signaling molecules to support skin repair and regeneration. When applied after Clear & Brilliant, the microchannels created by the laser make the skin more receptive to absorbing them.

I sometimes recommend adding exosomes to a Clear & Brilliant treatment to speed the recovery and enhance overall results. If you’re interested in this combination, it’s worth discussing at your consultation to see if it’s a good fit for your skin.

Recovery and Aftercare

After treatment, I recommend:

  • A fragrance-free cleanser and hydrating moisturizer
  • Daily SPF 30+ sunscreen
  • Avoiding strenuous exercise or excessive sweating for 24 to 48 hours
  • Skipping active ingredients for three to five days

For long-term maintenance, sticking to a consistent skincare routine and scheduling touch-ups every few months is important.

Is Combining Treatments Right for You?

If you’re looking for more noticeable, longer-lasting results, combining Clear & Brilliant with another treatment may be worth discussing at your next visit. I’m happy to go over which combination makes sense for you.
